Just because no new people are coming on doesn't mean the forum has to die. We can still talk to each other.

I'm still here too. it does seem quiet here though.
i think we just need some more action on the forum to keep it buzy.
like a long term contest. 3 months or so to make a game, like on yoyogames.
it doesn't matter if there's no prize if you ask me, it's just fun.

I'm not a big fan of fighting games, the only one i ever like is the ssb series.

Same here actually. But when you think about it, is there any other way to get a bunch of non-related characters to come together in one game, without having to explain each ones' story?
SSB does do this (in trophies, or now the SSE more or less), but you don't really need to for the game to be fun. From what I've seen, most fighting games are more or less very similar to SSB anyway, other than how you beat your opponent.

ssb also has a great variety of terrain and powerups, without them, i probably wouldn't like ssb either.
it'S not always the same moves, the same characters, the same flat level with a background you chose.

I never said it didn't. Many fighting games now are taking lessons from SSB and those fighting games like it. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion. If you don't want to help, I can't make you. That would be a hard thing to do, make somebody do something over the internet. Like, computer mind control, or something...
